ATHENA TRANOULI
She was born and raised in Kifissia, in the haute couture atelier TRANOULIS and fashion has been a part of her life since she was a young child, a life imbued with the aesthetics of Tranoulis Fashion House, which counts over 30 years in the field of haute couture with many global distinctions.
From the beginning of her adolescence she understood that creation and beauty enchanted her and that she was in order to serve fashion and the arts. Her teacher in design could not be anyone other than her father and founder of the fashion house Theodoros Tranoulis. He studied BUISINESS ADMINISTRATION AT SAINT GEORGE COMMERCIAL COLLEGE.
He belongs to the talented second generation of the house and is an active member of his design and business team.
Together with her brother Anastasios, they decided to innovate by building a new brand called “Athena by Tranoulis”, in order to integrate ancient Greek beauty into modern world fashion. At the same time as a founding member of the TAKE ME HOME movement and with a vehicle the collection ATHENA BY TRANOULIS seeks through fashion to help return our stolen cultural heritage, namely the return of the Parthenon marbles to their hometown. The campaign entitled “TAKE ME HOME” is a protest against the theft tragedy that has been going on for more than 200 years.
For Athena beauty is a source of emotion, but the bet she places with herself is that she can be imprinted on her creations.
In 2018 he was awarded by the Academy of Art with the award. Her designs as well as the TAKE ME HOME movement won the first prizes in their category from ZAVOG BIG in Ljubljana, Slovenia among 18 countries.
The love for greece’s cultural heritage gave it a place in the first edition of WOMEN LEADERS OF THE YEAR.
As a young designer–entrepreneur she participates in global fora, and co-organizes charitable and cultural events. At the same time she is married and the mother of two wonderful children.
